Who knows what 2012 will bring. There is as much chatter about The Golden Age of Consciousness as massive global destruction. Much of what you personally experience hinges on your perspective and consciousness in any given moment or situation. Here are 7 Tips to support you during “The Shift” of 2012.

Connect to Spirit: Take regular time to commune with the Divine. More than ever, the wise, peaceful, loving embrace of Spirit will help direct your awareness, re-establish serenity, guide your actions and infuse your heart.
Be Flexible: This is a time of great change. Be ready to adapt to shifting environments. You are not defined by your possessions, relationships, job, wealth or status. Keep surrendering limited perspectives of yourself and others.
Stay Centered: Regardless of what is happening around you, stay calm and cool. From this place, you are more prepared to make wise choices. Dive deep into the calm waters within and let the turbulence pass.
Embody Compassion: Keep your heart open. In the process of awakening consciousness, “The Shift” will bring discomfort to many as the light illuminates the hiding places of the shadow. Share kindness and compassion for yourself and others during this process.
Stay Grounded: Pay attention to the signs of your body, the environment and your relationships. This is no time to neglect your health, finances or loved ones. Listen to life’s messages that beacon balance and harmony. Tend to the details that maintain a strong foundation.
Enjoy the Present: This is a time of great freedom and joy. Be sure to be celebrating the radiant gift of each precious moment. See and embody the beauty in the little treasures of life-a smile, an eye gaze, a bird’s song, a flower’s beauty, the ocean’s rhythms, a baby’s innocence or an elder’s wise words.

There is so very much to be thankful for. It is such a blessing to be experiencing life in this body with other beings in this most extraordinary environment. Is there anything or anyone you have been taking for granted lately?

Health-You are in an amazing body that breathes, moves and senses this incredible world around you. Through this body you get to feel the sun kissing your face. You get to smell the scent of fresh flowers or home cooking. You get to see the full spectrum of colors, shapes and contours of each human and nature’s creations. Through this body, you get to create, laugh, learn and explore life!
Relationships - It is through our connections with loved ones, family, friends, colleagues & community that have the experience of feeling part of something. Through our relationships we have the opportunity to explore the facets of love, forgiveness, emotion, growth, humility, support, harmony, cooperation, chaos, listening, sharing, inspiration, giving, receiving and surrendering.
Opportunities - There are many doorways open to you. We are so blessed to have the chance to learn new things, travel from one place to another, teach one another, care for someone in need, build something, plant something, create something-anything.
Resources - Everyone has an abundance of something to draw upon and also share. Perhaps it’s one or more of these: experience, knowledge, time, patience, talent, compassion, connections, vitality, love or joy. Draw upon your resources and share them as was intended. In doing so, your resources will be replenished and expanded in just the perfect and often unexpected ways.
Closing Chapters - When a cycle is coming to conclusion, the main life force of that phase is completing. Every experience, job, relationship, season and phase of life brings blessings. Cherish the gifts and lessons you have received during each chapter. You need only take the blessings and not the density with you in the next chapter.
New Beginnings- Remember with each breath and within each moment we have the option to create something new. There are many seeds within us hibernating until germination is prompted by Divine Timing and alignment of specific circumstances. You and everything you create is a gift to be experience by you, those around you and your environment. Let’s celebrate the new possibilities unfolding within ourselves and others.

More than ever it seems there is chaos happening all around us and at times within us. Whether it is in the global economy, a loved one suffering, unexpected health changes, a shift in personal relationships or environmental disasters, there is intense energy moving all around. Your energy can either add to the chaos or act as a stabilizing force. Your ability to stay centered is vital to your own survival and happiness. From this centered space you are more capable of providing assistance to others as well. No real sustainable peace or happiness can come from decisions made from a chaotic space. It is within your calm center, where you connect to the still point of consciousness and the Divine, that true answers, unwavering support and crystal clarity are found.

Take note of what situations or people create ripples or tsunamis within your consciousness. Is it time pressure, economic uncertainty, the emotional dramas of others, the news reports, tense interactions with loved ones, worry about the future, global unrest or unconscious behavior? What triggers you? What or who is most likely to pull you off center? A wise soul chooses to uncover their blind spots and bring them into the light. Finding YOUR Connection to Spirit

There is no right or wrong way to connect with the Divine. There are many paths, channels, tools and opportunities. For all of time, different peoples, tribes and organizations have described Spirit in countless ways and given Spirit completely diverse forms and characteristics. To wade through all this can be overwhelming or confusing at times. Be certain however there is a truth inside you.

By now in life, you have certainly been exposed to many options and perspectives. Many of us are familiar with different forms of religion, Greek and Roman mythology and have heard of or practiced some type of meditation. Regardless of your journey so far, the different approaches explored, and the results experienced, my question for you is “How is it working?” How effective are your current forms, tools and channels for connecting to Spirit?

Have you found YOUR path? Have you discovered the pathway that works best for you today? Have you reached a plateau or stagnation phase? As we grow, mature and expand our consciousness, we often outgrow previous approaches or need to deepen into them. For many years, we may have been unknowingly on a path that wasn’t truly authentic or soulful for us personally. We may have just accepted what others were doing as “The Way.” We may have been complacent in our journey, just skimming the surface of a potential deeply soulful personal connection to the Divine.

If you are yearning to cultivate a more authentic relationship with Spirit, there is a whole treasure of opportunity awaiting you. Give yourself permission to explore approaches foreign to you; open your mind and your heart. Invite yourself to go deeper with practices that have worked for you in the past. Always deploy discernment to honestly filter what is and isn’t in alignment for you. When exploring new options, be open; yet trust your feelings and instincts to help guide you to the right experiences.

Here are just a few timeless ideas that may peak your interest…fasting, chanting, meditation, tarot/oracle cards, yoga, prayer, animal totems, vision quest, sweat lodge, vipasana (extended silence), matra, sun gazing, sacred movement and breath work. There are countless other pathways. Let yourself be passionately guided to those experiences that call you. However, sometimes one or both of these energies is out of balance, silenced, wounded, misunderstood or disrespected. Men and women throughout time have been both the oppressor and the oppressed. Often it is the self-created oppression of our feelings, wisdom, power, beauty, truth or love that is the ultimate betrayal. Regardless of your past experiences and choices, you always have the option of embracing each of these energies where they are, and understanding what they need to become more whole and integrated within you for a more balanced Divine version of yourself.

The Healthy Divine Feminine offers tenderness, wisdom, patience, nurturing, flexibility and fertility. Feminine intuition is one of our most powerful tools for guidance, and we all have it. “She” leads us in the right direction every time. Who couldn’t benefit from some sound reliable advice in life? The Healthy Divine Masculine is fearless, courageous and loyal. “He” is our guardian protector. When in balance, the masculine protector does no harm. Are you using your power (words, actions, dollars and resources) in ways that unite or separate, create or destroy? He is a leader and is not afraid to speak the truth even if others disagree. He is courageously fierce in standing for what is right. What do you stand for? Are your choices in life reflecting this?

The Divine Masculine is not afraid of the unknown. He enjoys adventure and exploring new territory. He believes in himself and knows he will succeed if his intentions are clear and actions aligned. The unhealthy masculine is stagnant, stifled, afraid to fail or an overpowering bully. When you heal those parts of “him” that are hurt, stifled or misunderstood and you team Him with the love and wisdom of the Divine Feminine, the combination is pure perfection.

I am sharing with you my favorite energy soup because it tastes great and always gives me energy. When I need a break from more complex foods I love having days of just blended soups. There are many variations. Here are 2 base recipes that you can play with. Sometimes I combine the two recipes and throw everything in the blender.

In order to give your digestive system a little rest, while still taking in the nutrients from food, try a blending more meals such as smoothies and soups. Blended meals are the perfect way to incorporate abundant organic raw fruits, veggies and superfoods. This maximizes energy and increases nutrition while enhancing digestion and assimilation. Blended meals can be easily prepared in the blender in advance for quick meals on the go. Depending on the ingredients, they should stay fresh for a few days.

YES, organic produce makes a difference. Ingest foods that are free from chemicals and pesticides. Not only do genetically modified foods (GMO) and chemicals in commercially-grown foods cause cell damage, they are often difficult to remove from the body. The vitamin and nutrient concentration, not to mention taste is much greater in organically grown produce. Buy fresh organic—you are worth it!

Every day, you are given multiple opportunities to practice standing your ground as the universe adapts according to the way you respond to it. In the midst of chaos-stand your ground. In the midst of transition-stand your ground. In the midst of temptation, uncertainty or criticism-stand your ground. Remember these potent reflections are arising to reinforce your ability to stand your ground. The quality of your faith, your choices, your strength, your spirit and your truth are what will prevail in the midst of turmoil.

The torque that occurs in your personal field whenever outward shifts occur, comes as a blessing from Spirit. Whether you utilize the momentum of torque to propel you deeper into confident embodiment or spiral downward is truly within your power of choice. You are the one who either rewards yourself with joyful radiance and self-affirmation or reprieves yourself with emotional punishment and self-doubt. It is when the mind is quiet and the body still that the real truth may be revealed. Our minds our like a turbulent body of water, only in the stillness can one’s reflection be seen.

Simple Tips for Enhanced Meditation

Time of day: Choose a time when you are most relaxed, before bed or when you first wake.

Comfortable Clothing: Select some comfortable inviting clothes that you feel cozy and warm within. Pick something appropriate for the room temperature. People often feel most comfortable when shoulders and neck are covered.

Comfortable Posture: Assume a comfortable seated position on the floor with pillows or in a chair. Be sure that your back is straight. Provide yourself with additional back/neck support as needed with elevated cushions, pillows or props to ensure maximum comfort. Choose whatever hand position or mudra feels the most comfortable.

Quiet: Choose a private place where you will not be disturbed by activity, people or technology. Turn off phones and computers as well as minimize other potentially distracting noises. If needed, use ear plugs to shut out the world and help you concentrate on your breath.

No Stimulants: It is challenging enough to quiet the mind and still the body. Before meditation, avoid coffee, sugar, caffeinated teas, chocolate and anything else you know that stimulates you.

Sacred Space: Create a regular sacred space or altar and surround it with peaceful images or items. Amethyst crystal is known to relax the body and assist in opening consciousness. A peaceful meditating Buddha statue may be an inviting image. You may also enjoy candlelight. This is all optional and very personal.

Smells: The sacred temples in India are filled with the aroma of Nag Champa incense. Other popular calming scents are Temple Incense and Sandalwood. Some essential oils assist in relaxation and others open conscious channels.

Sacred Sounds: You might enjoy soft tranquil music or water sounds as long as the sound helps you relax and does not distract your breathing and focus.

Guided Meditations: Initially, you may find it helpful to utilize some prerecorded guided meditations to help you connect with the breathing, focus your mind and assist with relaxation. However, nothing will take the place of sitting in your own silence, practicing your breathing, learning to self-calm and focus your mind.

Breathing: Breathing is an integral aspect of mediation. With every breath, breathe with the conscious intention that you are drawing from the “clear, white light,” synonymous with God or love. As you regularly practice meditating, you will learn that the key to getting the most out of this mental exercise is to BREATHE. Continuous, deep breathing not only calms the mind, it also strengthens the mind. You may also explore breathing in the word “Let” and exhale “Go”.

Clearing the Mind: The yogis often utilized a mind-clearing “Breath of Fire” called Kapalabhati. This breathing technique acts to oxygenate the brain, clearing toxic substances and thoughts in the process. This is a deep diaphragmatic, not Chest Breathing exercise done with the mouth closed. The exhale is short, rapid, and strong. We use the lungs as a pump, which rapidly expels the air from the lungs up through the nostrils. Seated with your eyes closed, try this exercise for 33 rapid exhales, take a deep inhale and suspend the breath for a few moments and let your brain be oxygenated and mind cleared, then exhale slowly. Repeat this one or two more times and move right into your meditation.

Focal Point: When you are deepening into your stillness, gently focus your internal attention on your “Third Eye” space, the point between your eye brows and back a couple of inches. This is a gateway to perception, stillness and inner peace. It connects energetically to the Pineal gland which among other roles is responsible for illumination and higher consciousness. Extended focus on this area massages the pituitary gland and releases “bliss” chemicals into the brain. The yogis discovered that this greatly enhanced their inner peace and joy during meditation.

Still Point: When you are sufficiently relaxed, your mind is calm and peace is all that remains, this is called the “Still Point.” This will last for brief periods of time then the busy mind will interrupt. Over time you will be able to reach this still point quickly. Other days will be more challenging. Soften the effort and just set the intention you find as much time collectively in the Still Point as possible even if that is only 10 or 30 seconds at a time or repeated 10 or 20 times. As you deepen your practice, you will find that you can find and remain in the still point for much longer periods of time.

Re-centering: Your busy mind will usher you out of the quiet Still Point repeatedly. Stay relaxed. Don’t get irritated with yourself. This does not mean you are a BAD MEDITATOR. You are learning to focus your mind. Just gently release the mind’s activities (errands, concerns, thoughts) and diligently come back to the breath and the focal point between your eye brows. Just let the thoughts float by like clouds without engaging them. The thoughts will be there later after meditation to tend to. The thoughts can wait while you re-choose stillness and calm for a brief period of your day.

Affirmations: There will come a time near the close of your meditation to set clear intentions and anchor positive affirmations. This is a powerful place to manifest within. The universe will feel your clear, high frequency loving vibrations. With your highest resonant frequency, see your fullest potential unfolding. Be in the deep heart-space with this process. Feel it happening. Ask for what you need. Offer what you have to give. Let Spirit speak to you. Just listen.

Closing: Take a few final moments to give thanks in your own way to whatever or whomever you are grateful for. This is a beautiful time to send blessings to loved ones, situations/people in need of love, support or healing.

AIR provides us with Life Force. Due to increased urbanization and pollution, it is essential to move our bodies to fresh, clean air often and to breathe deeply. FIRE warms the heart and soul and brings light to darkness. When the sun rises each day, it brings a reminder of new beginnings, hope and rebirth. At sunset, the sun teaches us to let go and surrender as a unique multicolored portrait unveils itself and then merges with the night sky. The practice of sun gazing, when done properly, is a powerful rejuvenating experience for the entire body while simultaneously realigning the Divine Sacred Heart within.

Step 3: Include all Types of Goals~for the various aspects of life set goals for health, career, family, spiritual growth, relationship, financial, education/training, ways of being, charitable actions, living environment, peace, healing
Step 4: Reformat~restructure each goal in the most present, positive and concise wording possible for example: "I have a beautiful loving relationship", "I remain peaceful and centered in all situations" "I am a best-selling author", "I have exceptional health", "My business helps millions of people", " I am the best parent ever", "My non-profit organization heals the environment"
